On Sunday 2 June, 23 St Margaret’s students volunteered for The Nappy Collective’s Nappy Sort and Count Event, coordinated by the Brisbane based, not-for-profit organisation, Common Kind.
The Nappy Collective provides nappies for families experiencing disadvantage across Australia, and participating in this Sort and Count Event was a powerful opportunity for students to be part of collective giving in action. Over the course of three hours, students sorted and counted 21,401 nappies that will assist 713 families.
A big thank you to Kylie Lamprecht (’90) and School Partner, Pitcher Partners, for the introduction to Common Kind and for supporting the day.
